My Dogs

My unique perspective is in applying scientific information
to the art of dog training. In particular, I apply the cognitive-
behavioral perspective (which has become quite popular
in psychology) to dog behavior. I also have training in
ethology, genetics, endocrinology, etc.

In less technical terms, I emphasize the communication of
information between the owner and dog, the bond or
relationship that is formed, as well as the use of behaviors
the dog likes to perform as a way of motivating appropriate
behavior.

I work with owners and their dogs on problem issues, as
well as basic manners, competitive obedience, agility,
Schutzhund and personal protection. I have 3 acres of
property (with 1 acre fenced) as well as the equipment
necessary for these kinds of training.

I do personal (preferred) as well as phone and/or email
consultations. I am also give talks, presentations,
and seminars. Click the items to the left for more info
regarding what to expect in a first consult as well as the
rates, etc.
